If you are craving a boiled shrimp and Rockefeller oysters, I highly recommend this place. I live around red oak and I love. I don’t have to drive into Dallas for a boiled shrimp. Definitely giving this place 5 star on the food and service. If you guys come visit bear with them because they are new and they are getting very busy but it’s because the food is amazing delicious…. Come visit!
Worst service ever. Never received my order, waited 2 hours and asked for updates four times and every time we were told that they would check but they never did and the girl up front admitted to never actually checking because they were so busy. I was very understanding that they had a rush but how are they going to keep taking new orders and serving people their food who placed it after us and not even check to see where our order was. Very unprofessional and she felt like she was justified because of how overwhelming it seemed. She had the audacity to catch an attitude with me and was snappy and said my only options were getting a refund or waiting ever MORE time for the food I kept asking about and never got an update on. Kept cutting me off so I could choose what I wanted to do instead of hearing me out or being understanding about them making us wait. I was very nice and understanding the whole time until she started catching an attitude. The 2 hours is not an exaggeration, we doubled check the time we paid to the time we left. We were so excited to try this new place and did not mind the wait at first but to never even get an update, received an attitude, and keep taking orders while never following up is crazy. All about supporting small businesses but this was on a whole other level of disappointment and unprofessionalism. 100% just took the L and took the refund. Definitely won’t be back
This place deserves nothing below 5 stars! The service was Excellent!! The food was Delicious! My son’s first time actually liking seafood! We celebrated mother’s day there with our entire family and we loved the way the celebrated us mothers☺️We ate Birria tacos, chicken strips w fries, buffalo wings w fries , seafood combo #2 & 3, Everything was so good please never leave!!
As soon as I entered I knew the service was not going to be good. They have a bar but it's not open yet I believe they were waiting on their license to serve alcohol. We sat ourselves and we waited over 20 minutes for someone to get our drink order. The young lady working seemed like she was knew since she would help out customers that came in first without realizing she had people that had sat and were waiting. Finally our drink order is taken and to our surprise they didnt have a big selection of soft drinks as they were out of a couple of them. There were about 3 cooks and maybe 1 lady that appeared like she was in charge. Our order was taken after 40 minutes we were there and the food took another 27 minutes to be served. Catfish po-boy had an aftertaste that we've yet to experience and the crab boil was delicious. It's not worth another trip for me
If you’re craving that Boiling Crab–style seafood boil but don’t want to drive an hour to get it, The Tipsy Crab is the perfect alternative. The location is super convenient, and the moment you walk in, you can tell you’re in for a great experience. The seafood was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right—the sauces had that rich, garlicky kick I love. But what really made the meal stand out was the service. Ashley was absolutely amazing: attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. She made the whole dining experience even better. If you appreciate delicious seafood and exceptional service, The Tipsy Crab is definitely worth the visit. I’ll be coming back! 🦀✨
The food was absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. And the service was excellent also. I intend to go back this weekend and just went last night.
I recently visited The Tipsy Crab and tried their mixed ceviche, and it was an excellent choice. The dish was fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. The seafood tasted clean and high-quality, with the perfect balance of citrus, spice, and seasoning. Each bite had a refreshing mix of textures that paired really well together. The presentation was inviting, and the portion was generous for the price. You could tell care went into preparing it. If you enjoy ceviche, I highly recommend giving this one a try—it definitely stood out and made the experience memorable. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!
waste of money, service was good but the food was disgusting. the wings were bland wigs dipped in buffalo sauce. my fries were were soggy. and fried oyster over cooked and oozing with green stuff coming out. my daughter complained of a stomach ache. never again. why can't we just get decent food in red oak 😅
